CENERE MEMORIE explores the memory of the 2022 Karst wildfires through virtual reality, combining 3D scans of burned landscapes with testimonies connected to the places affected by the fires.
> PROJECT

CENERE MEMORIE is an artscience project developed in response to the wildfires that affected the Karst in 2022.

Fragments of the burned landscape were documented through 3D scanning and reconstructed within a virtual environment, creating a digital archive of places transformed by fire.

These spatial traces are combined with testimonies collected in the affected areas, connecting the physical transformation of the landscape with individual and collective memories of the event.

Through virtual reality, CENERE MEMORIE explores how digital technologies can become tools for preserving and communicating the memory of environmental events, allowing landscapes, voices and experiences to coexist within the same immersive space.

> MY ROLE

Concept development, artscience research, 3D scanning and audiovisual production.

I developed CENERE MEMORIE as an exploration of the relationship between environmental transformation, digital reconstruction and memory, contributing to the collection and translation of spatial and audiovisual materials into an immersive experience.
