SCAPES_under explores environments that exist below the surface and beyond ordinary human perception, bringing artists, scientists and researchers into shared processes of observation, interpretation and experimentation.
> PROJECT

SCAPES_under is the first chapter of the three-year research project SCAPES_ Echoes from More Than Human Worlds. The 2026 edition focuses on underground and underwater environments as spaces where geological, biological and acoustic processes unfold outside everyday human experience.

Through field research, artistic residencies, scientific collaboration and public presentation, the project investigates how creative practices can make these hidden systems perceptible and communicable without reducing their complexity.

> MY ROLE

Concept development, artscience research, curation and facilitation between artists and scientists. Development of the project’s science communication framework and of public-facing formats connecting research, artistic practice and audiences.
